Please don't call our game a trivia game! We do have Bible-based questions, but that is not the focus nor necessary to win. Strategy is just as key if not more important than Bible knowledge.

Who is most likely to enjoy/ dislike the game?

The game has a nearly perfect hit rate with 8 to 14 year old girls. Anyone who is expressive and unreserved can really get into the game. The game is also great for busy families who have little patience or time for heavy rules. Also, Christian 20 somethings on a game night. We have found the game plays least well with teenage boys and heavy euro gamers.

Yes! It has received positive feedback from non-Christians. Many who have played have been intrigued by the design and structure of the game.

Where did you get the idea for this game?

During the Spring-Summer 2018 session, the creator of this game was teaching his kids' Sunday morning Bible class. After one class, he asked them if they enjoyed the class. Their response was that the class was boring - that the creator talked too much. On the following Saturday morning, in the space between a dream and waking up, the idea for the game popped. The game played very well and everyone (kids included) realized its potential.

Are you affiliated with any major toy or gaming company?

No

Why is the name of the game "True Frenemies"?

The original working name of the game was "Good Friends, Bad Friends, Very Bad Friends". It was then changed to "Secret Friends". After a lot of thought and considerable debate, we felt that the name "True Frenemies" encapsulated both of the concepts and was easy to remember.

Is "True Frenemies" a Christian game?

Surprisingly, we would say "not really". At its core, the game is math, statistics, game theory, and deception. We have chosen a Christian application because this is something we deeply believe in.

Can I pre-order the game?

Yes, you can pre-order the game now with a guarantee to get "Edition 1" as soon as it is released. If you are not comfortable making payment before the game is ready, you can simply respond through this website to be put on our wait-list. The only distinction between "pre-order" and "wait-list" is that pre-orders are guaranteed to receive "Edition 1". Each print run that we make of our game will be labeled with the appropriate Edition number.

Do you intend to sell your game through any retailers?

We would love to sell our game through big-box retailers and get nation-wide distribution. That is certainly one of our ultimate goals. We are based in central Iowa, and we intend to approach various retailers in this region first. As we gain retailers willing to offer our game, we will make note of them on our website. At present, though, we are still in the product design stage so an approach to a big-box retailer (or any retailer) would be premature. One of the reasons we are so excited about the potential for this game is the lack of Christian board game content at most major retailers. What we offer is new, original, and fills a need that we know many Christian families crave - a reprieve from the electronic gaming silos that scatter and tear families apart.

Can you ship the game outside the continental United States?

Yes. Please go to the Contact Us section and send us details of where you want the game to be shipped. We will respond to you.
